Salted & Dried Radish With Meat

Ingredients :

Salted & Dried Radish 菜脯 (thinly slice)
Meat (sliced)
Onion (Chop well)
Black Soy Sauce
Soy sauce
Corn Powder

Dried Radish Soated for 5 - 10 mins.

1st ~ Stir-fry garlic with oil until golden.

2nd ~ add in slice meat .

3rd ~ Then add in dried radish continue stir fry well.

4th ~ Cook with cover for about 2 - 4 mins.

5th ~ Mix a little bit soy sauce with corn powder.

6th ~ Open cover & add black soy sauce & Mixed sauce.

7th ~ stir fry well..

Goa Dim! ;)

SQ like this dish very much..coz she just like to chew the dried radish..

    How does dried radish look like? Do they come in strips like in your picture#3, or big pieces then you cut them?

    Is it very salty on its own?

    Pai seh ar… I have eaten the end product before but I do not know how the “raw” product looks like.

    Yich, I donno how to describe this dried radish ler…It selling in 2 type of packing..1 is chop well (found this pic at net)..and the another is big pieces (can’t find pic..:tongue)..and I cut into slice..Its preserved food , quite salty lor…

    haha - i just had this yesterday … i would prefer to cook it with minced meat, and less water … yummy with porridge …

    yich: they come in a lump form, iiam not sure how to describe it, but that how my mom buys it, its like a lump la, with chillies on it wan

    its salty and hot from the chillies … soak it in water prior to cooking …

    earl-ku, no lah….this wan not zha choi (榨菜),  this wan is choi pu (菜蒲)..which r more chewy wan..Altho both look same after cook ..but taste r totally different ler..

    Ya.. I had oso eaten chai po with egg (eat with porridge) before and chai po as the chwee kuey topping. Very yummy.
