I gave a pack of marinated kelp to my boss yesterday. She straight away open it and eat together with white rice that she brought from home. Of course I also tried some of it. There are so many types of marinated kelp selling in the supermarket. I do not understand Japanese, so just simply take some and bought it as souvenir and also to keep some at home. I like marinated after tasted in Japan.
I do not know would i buy locally or not. Anyway, I will try to serch in Japanese store like Isetan after finish my stock.

Very full dinner for me and my husband.

I remember I saw the Butter Sotong (Squid) recipe in someone’s blog before, but I could not recall which blog is that. I was thinking to try this when I am free but until now I have yet to cook this dish before. Everything When I am free I could not find the recipe I want. *sigh*
Never mind, I could still enjoy the Butter Sotong when I am out for dinner. Almost all of the restaurant server Butter Sotong. Maybe I could just save my time and have it at restaurant rather cook myself.

I usually will prepare Curry Fish Head without using the claypot. We use to have the dish original in the wok! haha..the wok i use to cook the curry fish head. One of the reasons for us to enjoy the curry fish head directly using the wok is because I use to cook many for my whole family including my parent, sister, brother, hubby and the children. I could not find a big enough bowl or plate for it.

I never try this Dried Vegetables until a guy who wants to go after my sister visited us last month. He is from Singapore and he bought us few bottle of dried food and dried seafood as visiting gifts to my parents.
I do not like the taste actually. Those dried vegetables are very crispy and some of it are too hard I think. It just seem like a dried vegetable that full of ajinomoto (monosodium glutamate) to me. Kind of yucks..:p

Vegetables include Long bean, carrot, mushroom, yam, potato.

Stir-Fried KangKung with sambal is my favorite dish. I order this every time I am dining out. Every restaurant serves different taste of stir-fried KangKung. The taste really big different for them. I am cook different stir-fried kangkung too. I do not use sambal but use the chili paid instead. More spicy and yummy (well, at least i think it is tastey) :p

The price actually is expensive than KL. I thought their food is cheap since everyone is saying that Seafood in Kota Kinabalu is very cheap. Maybe those cheap food are not includes noodle, porridge or other ingredients. Here is our first lunch at Kota Kinabalu Asia City.

Ginger fish fillet, taste good.

Sour and Sweet pork rid.

Fried Egg suggested my the stall owner for the children, but it look like too plain and over salty.

This is my favorite Corn and Egg soup. Delicious!

I finally have change to taste the Tuaran Mee at Kota Kinabalu. I been looking forward to taste it after HS introduced it to me. I am curious how it taste like since she said this is the most famous food and also a must try food if we are in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
I tried the dried Tuaran Mee, Stir-Fried Tuaran Mee and also Soup Tuaran Mee in my KK trip. I prefer Stir-fried Tuaran mee, more tasty if compare to Dried Tuaran Mee that is quite oily. The soup Tuaran Mee was a little bit too soft for me. I prefer more chewy noodle. haha

We will have a small party for Kiki’s 2nd birthday on this Saturday. I am still no idea what kind of cake to buy for her yet. However, my friend’s Mandy has suggest to buy her a jelly cake. She sent me a list of Jelly cake’s photo and ask me to pick one for Kiki. I hardly find one for Kiki because there are so many Cartoon Character Jelly’s cake. Hard to pick only one..haha
After a hour, I finally choose one for Kiki. Not sure will she like it but her mother surely like this Tweety bird..
